Heating Save personnel have been trained by the Carbon Trust in how to help businesses apply for energy saving loans to cut their energy bills. The Carbon Trust is part of the Government initiative to encourage companies to cut greenhouse gasses. They are financed by a climate change carbon tax put on the cost of fuel bills and now some of this money is being offered back to business in the form of favourable loans.

Funded by central Government, the Carbon Trust’s mission is to move the UK to a low carbon economy. Part of this strategy is to fund small and medium sized businesses (SME’s) when they want to fund energy saving and energy efficient equipment. The loans are

• Interest free
• Unsecured
• From £3,000 to £200,000
• For the cost of the equipment and installation.
• For both new and replacement equipment.
• For a maximum period of four years

A HeatingSave consultant will visit your premises to conduct a free site survey which includes free help and advice to customers to help them obtain a Carbon Trust loan. The loan application is straight forward and can be done on-line.

• It is likely you will get an indication of whether your loan application has been successful and how much within 48 hours.

SME’s are not as small as you might think. To qualify you must

• Employ 250 or less full time employees.
• Have a group turnover < £40 million.
• Have group assets < £35 million.
• Not be in agriculture, fisheries, most areas of transport or export based activities; but always call us as there are some exceptions in your favour.
• Have been trading for 12 months.
• Expect to save at least 19,000 kWh of energy per annum.
