BRC is warning that a failure to act on business rates will add £400m of additional pressure

The Office for National Statistics showed food inflation has fallen to its lowest level in a year at 14.8%. Despite this, Retail Week have reported The British Retail Consortium whilst welcoming falling inflation, warned that £400 million of additional pressure could be added to the shoulders of business if the government does not put in place a rate freeze.

Inflation and rising energy bills seem an unprecedented combination of struggle that businesses are facing right now.
