Energy bills been branded as ‘crippling’ by Industry Restaurant in Manchester
The Caterer reported that the Industry restaurant and bar has closed in Manchester due to “crippling energy bills.” The restaurant already had an unfortunate start launching during the peak of the pandemic which only allowed them to stay open for five months in the first year of operation.
In a post on Facebook the Industry team said, it is with the heaviest of hearts we have to say that Industry has closed its doors for the final time.
“Sadly, crippling energy bills, spiralling overheads, lack of government support and VAT/tax increases have made our ‘little' idea unsustainable, without having to charge extortionate prices" the team added.
A solution to help protect your hospitality business from rising energy costs could be a manufacturing company called HeatingSave.
HeatingSave, part of Tensor plc, have invented a computerised artificial intelligence heating management system which is approved by the Government on its Energy Technology list. HeatingSave’s solution is to cut gas or oil consumption by better managing the heating plant and equipment that businesses already have. HeatingSave is also approved by the Carbon Trust.
It could save your hospitality enterprise 25% to 50% of your energy bills.
