Building Energy Management System for Public Sectors
Introducing a Building Energy Management System (BEMS) into any public sector, whether it’s the police, education, or healthcare, can drastically reduce heating and energy costs by up to 50%.
HeatingSave’s BEMS utilises the many different energy-saving techniques, mentioned above, in order to better manage the way in which public sector organisations use energy within buildings.
This is done by reducing energy consumption and only heating rooms, areas, and buildings when absolutely necessary. Not only does the HeatingSave Building Energy Management System reduce public sector energy bills, but it also contributes to the reduction of a carbon footprint - ensuring the public sector can reach net zero in years to come.
Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme
The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme provides grants for public sector bodies to fund heat decarbonisation and energy efficiency measures. The scheme supports the aim of reducing emissions from public sector buildings by 75% by 2037 and helping public sector organisations to reach Net Zero.
HeatingSave’s Building Management System can not only lower heating and energy bills for public sector buildings across the UK, but it can also go a long way to helping different public sectors reduce their carbon footprint and lower CO2 emissions - keeping them on track to reach the goal set out by the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme for 2037.
Better monitor your energy with HeatingSave
Energy monitoring is vital for making savings and reducing heating costs where possible. Having the ability to monitor energy usage in real-time and knowing exactly how much energy a public sector organisation is using ensures that changes can be made instantly in order to save money. In addition to monitoring energy consumption, HeatingSave collects internal and external temperature, air quality and occupancy data.
HeatingSave’s Building Energy Monitoring System is a software which allows you to graphically analyse data using either a deskpot computer or mobile app.
"HeatingSave’s building energy management system is a practical way of managing your heating in the 21st century”
— Mr. Jon Killick, Library Manager, Edgware Library
Room Booking System & Heating Diary
HeatingSave’s Room Booking System is a particularly useful energy saving feature for public sector organisations that ensures heating is only applied when absolutely necessary.
The Room Booking System allows customers, clients, or employees to book out rooms and areas of the building for a whole range of reasons such as meetings, conferences, and so on. From the bookings the heating diary can be formed, meaning heating patterns are created so the heating system automatically knows when a room needs heating, and when heating does not need to be applied.
Thermostatic Radiator Valves & Occupancy Sensors
Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRV) are small, affordable, devices that sit on your radiator valves and control the hot water flow to the radiator. TRVs are an essential energy saving system that are perfect for public sector buildings that often have a vast number of rooms used at different times every single day.
Occupancy sensors do exactly what they say on the tin - detect whether a room is occupied or not. An occupancy sensor would typically sit in the top corner of a room and detect movement throughout the day. Should movement be detected, a signal is sent to the TRVs which allow more hot water to flow around the radiator to heat the room. On the flip side, if no movement is detected then the heating is automatically lowered and then gradually turns off after a long period of a room being unoccupied.
