Europe falling behind on productivity due to very high energy costs, industry leaders warn

Mr. Beyrer claims that the US’ approach to shale gas exploration gives them a huge advantage in terms of energy costs, with spot gas prices being four to five times higher in Europe right now, a situation that has rather unfortunate implications for the chemical industry.
