Energy reforms to be implemented by UK ministers will cost each customer around £100
Instead of actually helping consumers reduce their overall energy bills, the latest tariff reforms set to be implemented by the UK government might actually lead to customers paying up to £100 more, the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) admitted.
The Government is now backing a major revamp of the tariff system unveiled by regulator Ofgem which includes slashing the number of “core” tariffs each energy company can offer to four.
Following this initiative, the households currently stuck on low value contracts or contract types no longer available for new customers will be transferred to better deals. Additionally, a simple tariff comparison system will be introduced so people can more easily see if they could save money by switching.
However, this move will affect all customers in a different manner, with the DECC admitting that customers set to be the worst off following the tariff reforms will be those who’ve already shopped around for the best deals.
If you’re really disappointed about this initiative and you’d like to go for a solution that will actually allow you to save money on your energy bills in real time, while also helping you to preserve your general level of comfort, then you should look no further than HeatingSave.
The HeatingSave system allows customers to achieve immediately savings of up to 30%+ on their energy bills. This is achieved by optimizing the energy consumption levels within any building with the help of an advanced heat-loss algorithm that creates a specific profile for any building and based on that, switches heating on later if its warm and off earlier if its cold. It also automatically adjusts your boiler depending on how warm it is outside – save up to another 10%.
Furthermore, the system also offers an advanced automatic occupancy detection system that allows the temperature to reduce to a background when areas are not used and quickly brought up to temperature when they are being used.
