Energy-saving measures to lower bills on the long term, after initial increase

A new report by the Department of Energy and Climate Change points out that, despite the current rise in average household bills due to the implementation of renewable energy policies, households will actually manage to save more on the future. The report says that, by 2020, bills will actually be lower by 11% – or £166 – than they would otherwise have been. Moreover, the savings trend is apparently already in place, the government estimating that household dual fuel bills are on average 5% – or £64 – lower now than they would be without these policies. Energy and Climate Change Secretary Ed Davey said: “Global gas price hikes are squeezing households. They are beyond any government’s control and, by all serious predictions, are likely to continue rising. “We are doing all we can to offset these global energy price rises, and while we have more to do, this new study shows our policies are putting a cushion between global prices and the bills we all pay.” However, if you want to experience and immediate and visible cut in your home energy bills, then HeatingSave is the best solution for this task, as it enables households to save up to 30 percent or more on their heating-related expenses.
