Home Information Packs (Hips) and Heating Save

Home Information Packs (Hips) are compulsory in England and Wales. They were introduced to give buyers more information and to preventing sales from falling through. Although the National Association of Estate Agents are calling for them to be slimmed down, they still want an Energy Performance Certificate to be included.

Great news for people who have installed a HeatingSave boiler management system as this will seriously up your property”s green credentials, as Heating Save runs your central heating system to maximum efficiency, even if you have an old system.

The Department of Communities and Local Government say that HIP”s are bringing benefits to consumers by providing information to help families cut their fuel bills and carbon emissions. A spokesman said “First-time buyers are receiving the information in the Hip for free, helping to reduce costs for households looking to get on to the property ladder”
