Lincolnshire residents offered the option to replace old heating systems for free

Residents in Lincolnshire who have never benefited from having a central heating system installed will be able to do so in the near future, completely free of charge, as part of a new scheme introduced by local authorities in the area, a news report has been able to suggest.

After a successful funding bid to the Department of Energy and Climate Change for £570,000, councils in Lincolnshire have a pot of funding to use to install new central heating systems. Anyone living with expensive and inefficient heating methods, like solid fuel open fires or portable room heaters, could have a new heating system installed if they meet the eligibility criteria.

Funding is available to install central heating where none exists if you own your own home or rent from a private landlord and have the owner’s permission to do the work and receive certain income related benefits.
