Village hall installs energy saving measures using FCC Communities Foundation funding

A village hall will undergo a process of sustainable refurbishment that will make it more energy efficient after securing an FCC Communities Foundation grant, a news report in the local media has been able to suggest.

The grant of nearly £50,000 will go towards improving the energy efficiency of Thurgarton Village Hall.

David Lewis, Thurgarton Community Association chairman, and vice-chairman of the parish council, said: “This project will provide a real boost to the people of Thurgarton.

“It’s fantastic that FCC Communities Foundation has awarded us the money and we are really looking forward to our energy-efficient hall taking shape over the next few months.”

FCC Communities Foundation is a not-for-profit business that awards grants for community projects from funds donated by FCC Environment through the Landfill Communities Fund.
